John Salako Raises Funds for St. Giles
Ten premier division football shirts went like hot cakes on recently when former professional footballer and sports presenter John Salko conducted an auction to raise funds for St. Giles School in South Croydon. Former star player of England and Crystal Palace, Fulham, Charlton and Reading, John joined forces with Venture Catalyst and its members to help the school in its bid to raise £20,000 required to be eligible for capital grant.
The event took place at an event hosted by Venture Catalyst, a business networking club founded by David Thackray, and was held at the newly opened Copper Croydon in Beddington.
In total, £665.00 was raised and will be presented shortly to St. Giles School is a purpose built school for children with physical disabilities and complex medical needs, and caters to age group four to 16 years.
