PR Awareness for Residents' Association
The client, is a Residents' Association who needed to create awareness of the association and its function. A PR audit showed that the community was not aware of the association and its work.
To address this a website was designed explaining the association’s objectives, advising on upcoming events and supplying information on key personnel and services in the area. This was complimented with a flyer designed to showcase past activities carried out by to association, to which all residents had benefited. This was delivered door to door to all householders in the area. Support was sought and acquired from the local social services – the police, library, the council etc. The media was made aware of the activities.
The Result was that membership increased by 30% in the first year and is steadily increasing. Members are kept up to date via the website and by direct contact through emails. The members of the leading political parties have been making requests to attend the association’s general meetings as issues affecting the community are generally aired.
